Dr. Bimal Chhajer's Talk

Covid -19 is recently “the most dreadful” disease in the world. Till Feb,2020 more than one lac(100,000) has been infected and 3000 has expired – all over the world. The sensex has crashed all over the globe; movements have been curtailed; people are scared …. China is out of bounds. It was an “epidemic” in China and now has been declared as “Pandemic”. The whole medical world is on its toes, social media is full of possible solutions, fake promises of cure. Sanitizers, gloves, masks have gone out of market. The solution is still not known. Another Pandemic that is killing about 30-35 lacs per year only in India and four to five times of the number in the whole of the world is “Coronary Heart Disease”. Every day about 9000 people die of Heart Disease in India. People are scared, know the gravity of the disease but since it is a slow disease with long years of making - are not careful. The Cardiologists and heart hospitals also do not look for a long term solution but are making short time gains by admitting the severe patients and doing temporary solutions like Bypass Surgery or Angioplasty.

The difference between the two diseases is that Covid-19 is infectious – it spreads by contact and the incubation period is very short – but heart disease does not spread by human to human contact and the incubation is long. For Covid -19 the solution is not known but for heart disease the reasons are well defined and solution is known. In case of heart disease – most of the patients have almost no or partial knowledge about the reasons – but the medical world is knowing the solution but not offering it. They have built billions of dollars of heart care industry around the heart disease. In case of Covid -19 medical world is still having no clear cut knowledge or solution. So, there is a panic. The knowledge about the heart disease is available in tit bits and for prevention or reversal of the disease people need to have a complete knowledge. The source of this knowledge could be schools/colleges or the doctors – but both are avoiding to deliver it to common people. So, people depend on magazines, newspapers, Television and now, social media to get the knowledge about the reasons and solutions of heart disease.

Saaol has now worked for more than 25 years to reach a stage where we can offer a complete, simple, practical and effective solution to Coronary Heart Disease. Out one page “Saaol Safety Circle” is the real solution and can save millions of life by preventing and reversing heart disease. Only effort that we need to do is to reach the masses – explain them the solution, convince them to adopt it and help them to follow it in their life. The solution has three major parts – control the medical parameters, change the diet and modify the habits. This digital magazine will today explain how we go wrong in our food habits and consume junk foods without our knowledge that they are mostly full of fats which deposit inside our heart arteries. For those who are looking for prevention can avoid them or reduce consumption of these fatty items – but the confirmed heart patients must avoid them. We are modifying them to make them healthy – and the video accompanying this magazine is a small effort to make the popular junk – Burger – healthy.

It is no accident that junk food is so tempting and kicking the junk food habit is not easy. The very nature of junk food makes it difficult for the body to know when enough is enough. Apart from craving - which is an overwhelming sensation of desire for certain foods – easy availability of these foods also fuel up the consumption. There are a number of chemical in the brain that are associated with this craving. Craving occurs from a variety of reasons like old liking of certain foods but it also gets aggravated by psychological factors such as stress and unhappiness. Fortunately, it's all in your head and it can be controlled. Junk food cravings are like any bad habit, and a little self-trickery and force of will can bring about a change.

The bottom of the pizza, called the "crust", may vary widely according to style, thin or thick. Pizza dough often contains sugar, both to help its yeast rise and enhance browning of the crust.
2. Pasta : It is also a type of Italian food.
It is made from refined flour (maida) mixed with water or eggs, and formed into sheets or various shapes, then cooked by boiling or baking.
3. Noodles : Noodles are one of the Chinese's favorite foods due to their acceptable taste to almost all age groups, availability at affordable prices. Noodles are usually cooked in boiling water, with some salt. They can be made from wheat, rice and other raw materials such as buckwheat,
and starches derived from potato, sweet potato and pulses.
4. French Fries : French fries, or simply fries, finger chips or french-fried potatoes, are cut deep-fried potatoes. They are usually salted and, depending on the country, may be served with ketchup,
vinegar, mayonnaise, tomato sauce, or other local specialties. Fries can be topped more heavily, as in the dishes of poutine or chili cheese fries.
5. Hotdog : A hot dog (or hotdog) is a type of food, came from Germany. The hot dog (also spelled hotdog) or dog is a grilled or steamed sausage sandwich where the sausage is served in the slit of a partially sliced bun. Hot dog preparation and condiments vary regionally in the US. Typical condiments include mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, relish, and cheese sauce, and common garnishes include onions, sauerkraut, jalapeños, chili, grated cheese, coleslaw, and olives. The word "hot dog" refers to the belief that many people thought hot dogs had actual dog meat.
The most common type of hot dogs are made from beef, sometimes mixed with pork. Chicken and vegetarian hot dogs are popular as well. Animal parts are used in most hot dogs, and may include skin, lips, pig snouts, organs, fat, and other parts of animal bodies. Hot dogs and other sausage products were first developed as a way to sell these parts that people would not normally eat. Nearly 20% of the weight of a hot dog is usually non-meat ingredients including water, sugar, and spices. Some legal categories of hot dogs, such as "frankfurters" can contain up to 3.5% of non-meat fillers as well, such as corn meal.
6. Spring roll : In Chinese cuisine, spring rolls are savoury rolls with cabbage and other vegetable fillings inside a thinly wrapped cylindrical pastry. They are usually eaten during the Spring Festival in mainland China, hence the name. Meat varieties, particularly pork, are also popular. Spring rolls got their name because they originally started as a food only eaten during the spring; the dish also has significance for the spring festival, eaten to mark the beginning of spring. They were invented in the Jin dynasty (265 CE – 420 CE) and originally known as “spring plates”.
This is because they were usually served as with many plates spread across a table, each with an ingredient to be used as a filling, and a plate with very thin rice-flower pancakes stacked on a plate in the middle. In this sense, they were almost like a make your own wrap or burrito set up. This dish was traditionally eaten on the first day of spring.
7. Manchurian : Manchurian in the Indian lingo is a term for fried veggies in a spicy sauce. Vegetables Manchurian is a popular Indo-Chinese dish made from vegetable meatballs dipped in cornflour and then deep-fried and served in gravy. In this recipe, they're fried,
rather than deep-fried with thick, flavorful gravy spiced with ginger, garlic, and chilis. Serve this favorite dish with a side of fried rice.
8. Cheese Nuggets : Cheese Nuggets are made from cheese and corn flour.
9. Doughnut : The doughnut is a fried ring or globule of sweet dough that is either yeast leavened or chemically leavened. The dough is mixed and shaped, dropped into hot oil and fried, and glazed. Jam-filled doughnuts are called bismarks. Batters vary and may be chocolate or lemon and include fruits such as blueberries, raisins, or nuts. Chemically-raised donuts are made with baking powder and are generally rather dense and cake-like. They are easily and quickly made. Yeast-raised doughnuts, which are leavened by the creation of carbon dioxide resulting from fermentation of yeast, are lighter in texture than chemically-raised doughnuts. They require several hours to produce. These sweet treats are easily made at home using basic ingredients and require no special equipment. Doughnuts are baked and sold on premises at small, privately run bakeries, grocery stores, and in franchise operations that offer a standard product through the use of a pre-packed mix and carefully-controlled production. Large commercial bakeries make thousands of dozens of doughnuts each day, packaging them for distribution across vast regions.
10. Nutella Burger : Nutella is a brand of sweetened hazelnut cocoa spread. The main ingredients of Nutella are sugar and palm oil (greater than 50%). It also contains hazelnut at 13 %,cocoa solids, and skimmed milk. Nutella Burger has a thick wedge of the popular hazelnut spread sandwiched between two of the fast food giants buns.
11. Oreos : An Oreo is a sandwich cookie consisting of two (usually chocolate) wafers with a sweet crème filling.
12. Cheetos : Cheetos (formerly styled as Chee-tos until 1998) is a brand of snacks made by Frito-Lay. Cheetos are manufactured by blending corn and water. The germ of the corn is removed to prevent spoiling; the germless corn is then ground into cornmeal. Because the cornmeal lacks the nutrients provided by the germs, it is enriched by adding nutrients in order to increase its nutritional value. The mixture is heated under pressure, and then extruded through a die. The texture of the snack is formed as a result of contact with hot air,
causing steam in the mixture to expand and creating its characteristic texture. After oven-drying or frying, the product is then tumbled with the desired flavor components (the original Crunchy Cheetos are fried). The process takes approximately 19 minutes and each half hour an in-house lab team inspects and taste-tests each batch.
13. Nachos : Nachos is a Tex-Mex dish from northern Mexico that consists of heated tortilla chips or totopos covered with melted cheese (or a cheese-based sauce), often served as a snack or appetizer. More elaborate versions of the dish include other ingredients, and may be substantial enough to
serve as a main dish. Ignacio "El Nacho" Anaya is credited for creating the dish in 1943; the original nachos consisted of fried corn tortilla chips covered with melted cheese and sliced jalapeño peppers.
14. Spicy Sweet Chili Doritos : Doritos is an American brand of flavored tortilla chips produced since 1964 by Frito-Lay, a wholly owned subsidiary of PepsiCo. The original Doritos were not flavored. The first flavor was Toasted Corn.
